Guy Layman
Chartered Financial Planner & Principal
As Principal and Co-Founder of Rockstone, I work closely with clients across all areas of financial planning, from investments and pensions to retirement and estate planning. With a background that combines Chartered Financial Planner status and an MBA, I bring both technical expertise and strategic insight to helping clients achieve their long-term goals.
I have built a career dedicated to providing clear, trusted advice that helps my clients make confident financial decisions.
Outside of work, I’m a keen cricketer – I still play regularly, enjoy watching the game, and am a proud member of the MCC.
Joanna Layman
Director & Principal
As Director and Co-Founder of Rockstone, I’ve spent much of my career working with numbers as an analyst and now focus on making financial advice clear and accessible to everyone. I understand how overwhelming financial decisions can feel, so my goal is to simplify the process and help people feel confident and in control of their future.
Alongside running the business, I have a keen interest in property development and interior design, having transformed several properties over the past 20 years. I also enjoy supporting the community – from school talks and charity events to sponsorships and educational projects that promote financial confidence for all.
Away from work, I love to travel, walk our lovely dog Zita, and spend time with my two teenage sons – usually watching them play cricket from the boundary!
Simon Cox
Consultant & Financial Adviser
I provide advice across all areas of personal and business investment and retirement planning, including long-term care funding. I help clients make clear, confident financial decisions that support their goals and future plans.
The part of my role I enjoy most is meeting clients and building long-term relationships – understanding what truly matters to them and helping bring their plans to life.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and getting out on my motorbike whenever I can. I play the drums in a band – a lifelong hobby that’s taken me from live gigs to studio sessions over the years!
Hilarie Lindley
Practice Co-ordinator
With over 45 years of experience in financial services, including a long career in banking, I help with the day-to-day running of the practice and ensure everything operates smoothly for both clients and advisers.
The highlight of my role is speaking with clients – every day brings the opportunity to help and connect with lovely people, and I believe clear, friendly communication is vital to everything we do.
Away from the office, I love spending time with family and friends, travelling (France is a favourite destination!), listening to music, and getting out for walks. I’m also a bit of a petrolhead – my husband and I share a passion for classic cars.
Stacey Gulliver
Mortgage & Protection Adviser
I am a Diploma-qualified Mortgage & Protection Adviser with over 10 years’ experience, specialising in residential mortgages, buy-to-let (including Ltd Company and HMO), protection insurance, and equity release.
I have a particular passion for helping first-time buyers, finding it hugely rewarding to be part of such an exciting milestone. I enjoy crunching the numbers and making clients’ mortgage dreams a reality.
Outside of work, I have a keen eye for detail and organisation – I send out over 500 birthday and Christmas cards every year! I also once went tandem skydiving in New Zealand, an adventure that didn’t quite go to plan but definitely made for an unforgettable experience.
Archie Thomas
Mortgage & Protection Adviser
As a Mortgage and Protection Adviser at Rockstone, I help clients navigate life’s key financial decisions with clarity and confidence. With a strong background in financial services, I work closely with clients to find tailored solutions that support their goals and protect what matters most.
I love being part of Rockstone because it’s a chance to make a real difference – whether helping a first-time buyer step onto the property ladder or ensuring a family’s future is secure. Every conversation matters, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know my advice helps clients feel supported and in control.
Away from the office, I’m happiest on the water, with boating being a long-standing passion. I also enjoy shooting and a wide range of sports, having previously competed in British Eventing and shooting competitions – occasionally taking home a trophy or two!
Stephanie Parker
Practice Administrator
With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and organisational skills to my role. I help manage and produce client wealth reviews, create clear and insightful performance reports, and support the team through efficient diary management and client communication.
I enjoy engaging directly with clients, both in person and over the phone, building strong relationships and providing helpful support with any queries. I also thrive in a busy environment where meeting deadlines keeps the role rewarding and fulfilling.
Outside of work, I like to keep active, enjoy travelling, music, and spending time with friends and family. I’m also a proud mum to Hannah and Josh – and I never say no to a glass of fizz!
Milly Fuell
Business Administrator / Apprentice
As a Business Admin Apprentice at Rockstone, I support day to day operations by delivering excellent client servicing, maintaining accurate and up to date client records and ensuring tasks are completed effectively and accurately.
I enjoy being a Business Admin Apprentice at Rockstone because I like keeping things organised and ensuring daily operations run smoothly. I also enjoy being the first point of contact as it lets me create a positive first impression and ensuring communication is clear and professional to suit the client’s needs.
Away from the office, I love spending time with my family and boyfriend and enjoy travelling to new places – I’ve visited over 20 countries, with Cyprus being my favourite. I also enjoy working out as it keeps me motivated and challenges me both mentally and physically. I especially like Hyrox training and running as it helps me build strength and endurance.
Zita
Wellbeing Officer
Zita is our much-loved Wellbeing Officer – a beautiful Wiggy (Whippet and Italian Greyhound mix) who brings calm, comfort, and plenty of wagging tails to the Rockstone office. She’s the best-behaved dog in the world (we might be slightly biased!) and loves greeting clients, enjoying a gentle fuss, or curling up quietly nearby during meetings.
If dogs aren’t your thing, don’t worry – we always have dog-free spaces🐾
